Our Leadership
Anuj Christian
Founder and Executive Director
Anuj Christian is a passionate advocate dedicated to ending the discrimination and exploitation faced by legal international students and high-skilled workers in the United States—a cause deeply personal to him, as he has experienced these challenges firsthand.
Before founding Fair America, Anuj embarked on a nationwide journey, protesting in all 50 states to raise awareness about the unjust treatment of high-skilled workers based on their country of birth. He boldly took on this unprecedented challenge because he believes there is no greater threat to democracy today than failing to address this critical issue.
Anuj’s advocacy efforts have been widely recognized, with his work featured in prominent media outlets such as BBC, The Economic Times, ANI, Hindustan Times, Cap City News, 1011 Now, Capital Journal, and many more.
Dixit Thiya
President
Dixit Thiya is committed to advocate for fair immigration policies, working to combat the discrimination faced by international students and skilled workers. His dedication to this cause stems from a deep understanding of the challenges that immigrants encounter in navigating complex systems. Through his involvement with Fair America, he strives to create an environment where skilled workers are not only welcomed but also enabled in contributing to their highest potential in the nation’s prosperity.
Before joining Fair America, Dixit traveled to a few states with Anuj Christian to protest and raise awareness about these issues. This hands-on experience fueled his commitment to challenging unfair treatment and pushing for meaningful policy reforms. Today, Dixit plays a key role in Fair America’s mission, focusing on both advocacy and public education to drive sustainable change in the immigration system.
Ramesh Mahankali
Vice President and Treasurer
Ramesh Mahankali is committed to creating a more just immigration system for international students and skilled workers. His passion stems from firsthand experience with discrimination, where not only his growth and freedom have been limited by discriminatory policies, but he is also witnessing the struggles of his two children facing fewer rights and opportunities than other children of immigrants in the same category. With two children at risk of self-deporting when they turn 21 due to the country of their parents' birth, he and his wife are dedicated to advocating for an immigration system that allows skilled individuals and their families to pursue their dreams without unnecessary hurdles.
